Audit & Accounts Director - Leeds

Highly Competitive & Equity PotentialThis presents an outstanding opportunity to join a prominent regional mid-tier practice in Leeds, seeking an Audit & Accounts Associate Director or Audit Director (RI).In this role, you will:Manage a substantial portfolio encompassing large, technically intricate SMEs and OMBs across diverse industry sectors.Oversee the entire audit process, including budgeting and adherence to timelines.Strategically plan staff assignments, ensuring appropriate technical expertise and scheduling for client engagements.Conduct thorough reviews of accounts and other deliverables prepared by Managers and team members.Support Managers in providing constructive feedback and conducting performance appraisals.Handle corporate clients beyond audit thresholds, managing complex issues such as cash flow forecasting and management accounts.Collaborate closely with the internal tax department on tax computations and corporation tax matters.Assist partners & directors in various ad hoc projects, including corporate finance initiatives like due diligence and MBOs, and engage in business development activities to attract new audit and non-audit clients through proactive client management and participation in pitching processes.The Leeds office is conveniently located for professionals commuting from various areas across Yorkshire, including York, Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Shipley, and Wetherby.Essential qualifications:ACA/CA/ACCA qualified.Preferably holds Responsible Individual (RI) status.Up-to-date expertise in UK GAAP, IFRS’s, ISAs, and Companies Act legislation.For further details about this role, please contact Rich Clark at Clark Wood:
