Job Purpose
  • Managing a varied client portfolio, working closely with Managers and Partners to ensure deadlines and budgets are being met
  • Preparation and submision of statutory accounts
  • Preparation of tax computations for Limited companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships
  • Preparation of management accounts
  • Filing and submitting prepared company accounts to Companies House
  • Liaising with HMRC on clients’ behalf, handling queries quickly and effectively
  • Overseeing junior staff, including workflow management, review work, and training
  • Building trusted client relationships as their main point of contact, proactively handling queries
  • Monitoring and interpreting changes in legislation and industry trends

The Successful Applicant
  • ACA / ACCA qualified, part-qualified or AAT Level 4 studying
  • Recent practice experience managing a client portfolio
  • Good understanding of accounts preparation processes
  • Audit experience desirable, but not essential
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Xero and Sage
  • A hands-on, can-do attitude towards managing own workload
  • Self-motivated and reliable who is eager to progress
  • A drive to deliver technical knowledge as a point of call for the team
  • Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency
  • Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
  • Commercial business acumen
