Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level oversight for audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy
- Develop the audit and assurance service line with new and recurring fee income
- Win assignments in line with budgets and deadlines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address client needs
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, as well as a network of business partners
- Provide strategic guidance to the audit team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging issues to enhance audit methodologies and processes
- Champion business development and cross selling
- Lead and inspire the department by providing regular feedback and monitoring performance
- Effectively communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and senior management

The Right Candidate
- ACCA / ACA qualified
- RI experience and at least 10 years' audit experience
- Proven experience managing audit engagements within a financial service environment
- Strong technical skills, including a deep understanding of auditing standards and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Proactive and adaptable, with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams
- Excellent understanding of relevant UK taxes such as Corporation Tax, VAT and PAYE
