Estimator

Estimator Modular Construction, Salary: Up to £60k with excellent benefits, Based Morley, Leeds with Hybrid working (2-3 days per week in the office).

We require an experienced Estimator to work for a Design & Build Modular Contractor. The ideal candidate will be an Estimator with experience from a within a reputable modular, specialist or Tier 1 construction main contractor background, with experience of deliveringaccurate, risk-managed, and timely preconstruction commercial offerswithin various sectors, including Education, Healthcare, Defence, and Commercial markets.

The Estimator role:

• Bid Preparation: Develop and submit accurate and competitive bid proposals in line with client requirements and project specifications.
• Cost Estimation: Analyse project specifications and requirements to prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labour, and subcontractor quotes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Business Development and Preconstruction, to ensure commercial bids are competitive and comprehensive.
• Stakeholder Interaction: Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, and suppliers during the bid process to address queries and align expectations.
• Process Adherence: Follow value and risk management processes to ensure the quality and consistency of bids. Participate in project handover meetings to share cost insights and facilitate smooth transitions.
• Continuous Learning: Benchmark completed projects against new tenders to enhance estimating practices and improve future outcomes.

Candidate requirements:

• Estimator experience from a reputable modular, specialist or construction main contractor background.
• Have experience with estimating software the Microsoft suite
• Minimum Degree/HNC in construction, quantity surveying, or a related discipline. CDM qualifications are beneficial (training can be provided).
• Flexibility: Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites and manufacturing facilities as required.
