- Full-time or Part-time (flexibility with remote work 1-2 days per week)

- £45,000 - £55,000 per annum dependent on experience

About the role:
As the Financial Controller, you'll be stepping into a pivotal role. With the founder transitioning into semi-retirement, this position offers the chance to lead and refine financial processes in a cash-positive, expanding company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold the company values of Caring, Honesty, and Endurance.
- Ensure accurate business transactions and compliance with accounting principles.
- Collaborate on month-end close and year-end accounts with team and external accountants.
- Manage bookkeeping, VAT returns, recurring invoicing, and weekly pay runs.
- Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and monitor key business metrics.
- Oversee monthly stock takes and customer/product profit analysis.
- Maintain internal financial controls and optimise debt collection.
- Provide accurate financial reporting and continuous improvement in finance operations.

The Ideal Candidate:
You will thrive in fast-paced environments and have the following skills and qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent experience.
- AAT, ACA, or ACCA qualified.
- Strong experience with monthly closing processes, forecasting, budgeting, and customer billing.
- Organised and analytical with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in Xero financial reporting.
