As they continue their rapid growth journey, they are seeking to appoint a talented Financial Controller to help drive their financial strategy forward.

Role Overview: As the Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial future of the business. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and providing strategic insights that will guide the company's decisions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Manage the preparation of financial statements and reports for stakeholders, including the executive team and investors.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support business growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business initiatives and optimise financial performance.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to inform financial strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Experience Required:

  • Professionally qualified (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably within a complex, high-growth business
  • First-class communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
  • Experience and training within a Top 4 or Top 10 accounting firm.
  • Ability to lead, mentor and manage a small, but growing finance team
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, with good working knowledge of Excel.
  • Proven experience in complex, fast-growing, and entrepreneurial environments, such as start-up, private equity, owner-managed, or investor-led operations.
  • Experience in e-commerce, data specialist, fintech, digital platforms, and similar would be a distinct advantage.
  • The right to work in the UK, without expiry, such as citizenship, ILW, or pre/settlement status.
