Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller to join a well known growing business in South Leeds where you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with the FD within a Group function and you will have exposure across the wider organisation, partnering with non finance teams.

What will you be doing?

  • Producing the monthly management accounts.
  • Assisting with the preparation of business forecasts.
  • Developing, implementing and monitoring finance policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for overseeing transactional finance.
  • Liaising with the external auditors.
  • Identifying risks.
  • Taking the lead on all HMRC submissions.
  • Statutory reporting.
  • Partnering with the Commercial team.
  • Providing support on key projects.

What skills do we need?

  • Fully qualified Accountant, ideally ACA/CIMA/ACCA /QBE.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Ideally experience within the Property/Construction sector.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in managing a team.
