Interim Faculty Management Accountant | Grade 7 | Leeds | Education Role | Full-time | HybridAt Hays, we are working exclusively with a further/higher education institution who are looking for a Faculty Management Accountant to join their finance team on an interim basis for a minimum of 6 months, with the potential for this to be extended. In this role, your key areas of focus will be:

  • Manage day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Address and resolve complex financial queries, excluding account-specific issues
  • Collaborate with internal departments and the wider finance function to ensure compliance and smooth operations
  • Present financial information to key stakeholders in an accessible manner
  • Participate in planning processes and analysing staffing budgets to support decision-making
  • Confidently manage stakeholder expectations and provide reliable financial advice

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • CIMA/ACCA qualifications or equivalent, or QBE
  • Proven experience in Management Accounting
  • Prior experience in further/ higher education desirable
  • Knowledge of financial systems and software (prior experience of using SAP desirable)
  • Strong use of Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
