Your New CompanyHays are seeking an interim accounts manager for a national multi-award winning construction company based in Leeds. Valuing the idea is more than just a place to work but a community that cares.Your new roleThis is a 6-month fixed-term role where you will play a key part in the company's national operation, with an industry competitive salary of £45,000 to £55,000 per annum depending on experience. Key responsibility:Management Accounts: Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide detailed explanations.Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Cost Analysis: Analyse manufacturing costs and provide insights to improve cost efficiency.Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors.Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.Business Partnering: Collaborate with various departments, including production and supply chain, to gather financial data and provide financial guidance.Ad-hoc Projects: Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required. What you'll need to succeed

  • Preferably, fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), although qualified by experience, will be considered
  • Solid background in management accounting, ideally in the construction industry
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite and financial software
