Management Accountant – Leeds - c£50,000

Elevation Senior Finance division are proud to be working with a leading UK based payment services company offering services around the world, including reliable and scalable payment solutions to businesses. They are experiencing a period of exciting growth and are scaling up their back-office service teams. Therefore, they have a brand new and full-time position for an enthusiastic Management Accountant.

Responsibilities of a Management Accountant:

• Preparation of timely monthly management accounts for three individual companies, including supporting analysis
• Supporting transactional finance team with month end routines including reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments
• Assisting FM with preparing rolling forecasts
• Assisting with process improvements and ensuring compliance with company policy and procedures
• Assisting with intercompany invoicing and reconciliation
• Overseeing the VAT process and submissions to both HMRC and Irish Revenue
• Preparing weekly payment runs for three purchase ledgers
• Managing Debtors alongside other finance team members
• Margin analysis
• Preparing Sales commission statements
• Pricing profitability analysis
• Assisting in preparation of annual accounts and financial audits
• Supporting the Finance Manager, Finance Director and finance team

The Ideal Management Accountant:

• Accounting qualifications are essential (CIMA preferable)
• Previous experience of working in financial payments environment will be a significant advantage
• Experience of supervising a finance team on a day-to-day basis
• Ability to liaise professionally with customers and suppliers via telephone, email and video conferencing
• Confident working, and communicating financial information, with all levels of the business
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Able to maintain attention to detail, while multitasking
• Experience of Sage 50, Xero, or similar, accounting systems
• Solid Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams etc) including essential intermediate/ advanced Excel skills
