Payroll and Finance Administrator
Salary £17.50 per hour
Garforth, West Yorkshire – office based
40 hours per week (Flexible between 8am - 5:00pm Monday – Friday)
We are an independent pub and pub/restaurant operator looking for a Finance & Payroll Administrator to work in our head office, based in Garforth. You will report to the Owner/Director, alongside an Accounts Administrator, with responsibility for the monthly payroll processing, cash sheet and bank reconciliations, purchase ledger payments, quarterly management accounts, VAT returns, liaising with pub managers, and capable of using excel spreadsheets.
Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:-
Experienced user of Sage Line 50, Sage payroll and Microsoft Excel with ability to handle:-
- Purchase ledgers and associated control accounts
- Bank and cash reconciliations
- Balance Sheet schedules and reconciliations
- VAT returns
- Quarterly MI
- Payroll, including auto-enrolment pension contributions
Personal Specification & Qualifications:-
- Well organized
- Effective time management
- Can clearly demonstrate strong inter-personal skills, as well as the ability to add value to the Finance Team
- Support the Director and Senior Managers in the application of good Corporate Governance
- Highly numerate
- Strong attention to detail
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good telephone manner
- Excellent keyboard and IT skills
AAT; AICB or similar preferred. Consideration will be given to other candidates who can demonstrate qualification through experience.
