Job Purpose
  • Support a varied client portfolio, working closely with Senior Accountants to ensure expectations and deadlines are met
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Preparation of statutory accounts
  • Preparation of income tax computations and corporation tax computations
  • Filing and submission of prepared company accounts to Companies House
  • Oversee bookkeeping processes, providing support on finance and admin related queries
  • Review the work undertaken by junior staff, providing helpful and constructive feedback
  • Liaise with clients, building strong rapport and proactively handling queries
  • Champion your own professional development, enthusiastically undertaking training opportunities

Job Requirements
  • ACCA / ACA qualified, part-qualified or studying
  • At least 12 months’ experience within UK practice
  • Good IT skills including QuickBooks, Xero and Sage
  • Solid technical knowledge of accounting standards
  • An enthusiastic team player who can also work autonomously
  • A hands-on, can-do attitude towards problem-solving
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
