A global professional services company, majority owned by one of the worlds largest businesses in their sector. The business has seen significant growth recently with impressive net revenue growth and a huge rise in head count.

The vast majority of their finance team is based at their Leeds head office and includes both UK and group finance, FP&A, Purchase ledger, Payroll, Credit Control, Treasury, Tax, Finance Systems.

The role

Senior Accountant

The responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts and quarterly reviews
  • Support the business in monitoring unbilled amounts on projects
  • Processing of financial transactions in an accurate and timely manner
  • Review and reconciliation of Balance Sheets and supporting schedules
  • Ad hoc analysis
  • Assisting in SOx compliance and evidence gathering
  • Support in year end statutory audit and SOx audit
  • Line management to 1 direct report
  • Continuous improvement - always be alert to opportunities for process efficiencies, automation and simplification.

Requirements:

  • Ideally you will be ACA newly qualified (up to 2 years PQE) working in external audit for a practice and looking to move into next industry however, we are open to considering other similar qualifications and background too
  • Strong communication skills with confident approach to working with employees and stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong Excel knowledge and MS office applications
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Good organisational skills, used to managing and prioritising both own and others workload
