IPS Finance is working with a multi-dimensional company based on the outskirts of Leeds who are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will support the accounting department in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes. This role is essential for assisting with day-to-day financial transactions and providing general administrative support.Duties of Accounts Assistant:

  • Process and reconcile invoices, expenses, and payments accurately and timely.
  • Assist in maintaining up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and monthly management accounts.
  • Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely follow-ups.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
  • Conduct basic data entry and manage financial databases and records.
  • Respond to inquiries from vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the accounting function.

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a similar finance/accountancy role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work deadlines whilst showing strong attention to detail
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • To be self-motivated and proactive with a good sense of judgement
