Role Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support our portfolio accountants, ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, submit and file company accounts and corporation tax returns.
  • Provide CIS support.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • File confirmation statements and PSCs.
  • Amend shareholding and submit relevant documents.
  • Raise and follow up on queries with accountants.
  • Support payroll and bookkeeping functions.
  • Conduct client calls for information requests.
  • Perform various administrative duties and ad hoc tasks as needed.

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn and develop.
  • Analytical mindset with good communication skills.
  • Interest in a career in accountancy.
  • Computer literate.

Desirable:

  • Ability to use initiative and solve problems.
  • Previous accountancy experience and knowledge of accounting systems (preferred but not required).
