The Business & Opportunity:
Part-time Accounts Assistant required for a specialist regional property investor with an impressive portfolio. Through the acquisition and active management of property in sustainable locations, they create quality spaces for their tenants, help communities to thrive, and generate value for shareholders over the long term.
They are currently looking for a friendly, personable and well experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.
You will be based at their impressive offices in the centre of Leeds, where they provide free on-site parking.
This is a part-time position either 3 days per week, or shorter hours spread over 4 or 5 days. There is also the possibility of 1 day per week working from home.
Specific Requirement:
Your remit will include:
- Daily posting of cash entries going through all group bank accounts and coding them to the general ledger as appropriate
- Matching of cash transactions going through the cash book against the bank statements
- Timely preparation of multi company bank reconciliations
- Investigation to resolve outstanding items on the bank reconciliation
- Set up of payments on the online banking system
- Maintaining records for petty cash
- Coding up petty cash transactions and inputting the journals into the finance system
- Analysing credit card payments taken and coding them up
- Ad-hoc Invoicing
- Bank transfer for profit shares to landowners
- Remittance advices for landowners detailing payments
- Various balance sheet reconciliations at month end
- Inputting of journals at month end
- Assisting Purchase Ledger team with inputting invoices at busy times and to cover
- To work closely with all internal departments in order to build and retain effective long-term relationships
- General administrative duties
Ideal Skills & Experience:
- Able to demonstrate experience of working in a busy finance department
- Strong reconciliation experience
- Good all round ledger knowledge
- Problem solving mindset and the ability to multitask.
- High standard of numeracy, accuracy with attention to detail
- Computer literacy in Windows, MS Office 365 & Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills providing the ability to build both internal and external relationships.
- Experience in the property industry would be advantageous, but is not a pre-requisite.

- A starting salary of £25,000 (Full Time Equivalent).
