Reed Accountancy are proud to be working with a business in Leeds who are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time and permanent position where you will assist with month-end processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform bank account reconciliations.
  • Reconcile cash balances and prepare for banking.
  • Post daily sales invoices and customer receipts accurately.
  • Reconcile daily sales to receipts and record differences.
  • Review and reconcile customer accounts regularly.
  • Post supplier invoices promptly and accurately.
  • Issue supplier invoices for authorization and ensure they are signed before payment.
  • Prepare supplier payments within trade terms.
  • Review and reconcile supplier accounts regularly.
  • Prepare and issue daily and monthly sales reports.
  • Assist with month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
  • Check employee expenses, calculate VAT claims, and post transactions for authorization.
  • Liaise with other departments to resolve issues.

  • Analytical thinking and excellent numerical skills
  • Methodical approach
  • Part-qualified/studying AAT/ACCA
