Reed Accountancy are proud to be working with a company in Leeds who are recruiting an Assistant Financial Accountant. You will be involved in preparing statutory accounts, capital budgets, annual revenue reports, and conducting year-end monitoring, reporting, and forecasting. This is a full-time, permanent position offering hybrid working.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and resolve issues in monthly financial processes.
  • Work with Finance and other departments to meet corporate and financial goals.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, standards, and audit advice.
  • Review budgets, performance indicators, and accounts for compliance.
  • Follow and deliver outcomes in line with, the annual financial schedule.
  • Create and follow comprehensive financial guidance notes.
  • Handle ad hoc and Freedom of Information requests promptly and accurately.
  • Assist in training and development for finance and other staff.

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Part qualified CIMA/CCAB
  • Experience analysing financial information
  • Good understanding and experience of financial controls
  • Practical experience performing in a similar position
