Finance Assistant

This is a 6-month temporary contract, with a view to go permanent.

This role would be best suited for an individual with 1-2 years' experience who is willing to work hard and potentially be offered a permanent role with progression & study support, or for an individual with 5+ years' experience who is open to a temporary role.

Join a prestigious and historic sports organization based in Yorkshire as a Finance Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team behind the scenes, ensuring the financial health of a dynamic and inspiring sports business.

Progression and study support will be on offer if the role moves permanent at the end of the 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily financial transactions including accounts payable and receivable.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash transactions.
• Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Provide support during audits and financial reviews.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Requirements:

• Must have experience with Excel (SUMIF or VLOOKUP or PivotTable)
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Benefits:

• Salary of 20,000 - 25,000. (dependant on experience)
