IPS Finance are working with a leading energy business who is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Assistant to join their finance team. This role will primarily focus on managing accounts receivable, cash and bank reconciliations, project-related financials, and month-end processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and enthusiasm for ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Raise and process project invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable, ensuring all invoices and payments are accurately recorded.
  • Post payments and receipts into the system, ensuring proper allocation to relevant invoices, including direct debits.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of cash and bank accounts.
  • Perform month-end financial closing tasks, including reconciliation of accounts and preparation of reports.
  • Set up and maintain project accounts, ensuring all project costs are correctly allocated and confirmed.
  • Manage project-related POs, including opening, closing, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial accuracy in project accounting.
  • Oversee and manage the project inbox, ensuring timely approvals and responses.
  • Assist with inquiries related to project finances and approvals.



Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Enthusiasm and a proactive approach to work.
  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills.
  • Solid financial knowledge, including experience in accounts receivable, cash reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  • Experience in managing project finances and familiarity with project accounting systems.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
