We are excited to be recruiting an interim Assistant Accountant for a 9-month maternity cover contract. This is a part-time role with some flexibility over working hours. Reporting to the Finance Director, the role will play a key part in supporting month-end procedures, stock reporting, and involvement in various new projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Assist the Finance Director with month-end close processes
- Support stock management activities
- Provide holiday cover for transactional finance functions
- Handle ad hoc finance tasks as required
What We’re Looking For:
- An experienced accounts clerk looking to progress into an Assistant Accountant role, ideally with experience in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver work with precision
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and proactive in your approach to work
- A strong initiative, with the ability to suggest and implement process improvements
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Confident with IT systems, with a willingness to learn new software and processes
- Proficient in Excel
