Role: Finance Assistant - Hybrid working

Salary: Pro rata salary 17,783 (FTE salary 29,639)

Hours: 22.5 hours across 3 days per week (Mondays and Fridays necessary)

Location: Leeds, LS7 (street parking)

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Finance Manager in day-to-day financial matters.
  • Handling supplier invoices, bank transfers, and reconciliations.
  • Managing the sales ledger and checking recurring invoices for new tenants.
  • Maintaining accurate accounting systems and financial records.
  • Collaborating with staff to monitor tenant debtors and control income.
  • Overseeing financial processing and bookkeeping.
  • Managing the expend card system, expense claims and holding small petty cash pot.
  • Managing and maintaining our client's financial software systems.

Requirements:

  • Experience within a similar role.
  • Experience using Quickbooks/Xero or similar accounting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and using initiative.
  • IT literate, with advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience using Excel.
  • AAT qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a charity or property/housing organisation desirable.
