Fortrea is seeking a Team Lead to drive our Clinical Research Nurse Team in the discovery of the medicines of the future. A passion for people, their well-being, and development is essential, along with previous supervisory experience (not necessarily in a nursing environment)

FORTREA LEEDS - WHERE BREAKTHROUGHS BEGIN

Fortrea's cutting-edge Clinical Research Unit in Leeds is the crown jewel of our global operations. This state-of-the-art, 65,000 ft² facility with 100 beds is just a 7-minute walk from the train station. Dedicated to Phase I trials, it’s where life-saving medicines begin their journey.

  • Previous supervisory experience essential, but not necessarily in a clinical environment. We welcome applications from experienced people supervisors from healthcare and other industries.
  • This is an office-based, full-time role 37 hours per week based at the Leeds clinic.
  • Shifts are predominantly Monday-Friday, but overtime and weekends may be required by the business as needed.

  • Proven track record of supervising a team is the essential piece. You have proven experience of successfully supervising a diverse team and driving results.
  • You may have worked in a research / healthcare environment before.
  • You can proof you have a passion for your team, their well-being, performance and development.
  • You’re a team player with an attention for detail and quality who can drive the highest standards through your team.
  • You thrive in a fast paced environment and have strong prioritisation skills when given guidance.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

We ask that you are able to demonstrate experience of:

  • Annual leave booking, absence recording, performance management
  • Staff development through objective setting and 1-2-1 meetings
  • Individual & team training development
  • Ability to lead by example, gain process adherence from the team and encourage members to seek solutions.

STRUCTURE

You will report to a Clinical Operations Manager who will provide direct support and guidance to help you in your role and ensure that the teams performance is aligned to the objectives of the business. No two days are ever the same in the clinic and you will have the opportunity to grow your skills as you gain experience of a wide variety of Therapeutic Indications and study types working across the Phase I portfolio.
