Mechanical Service Engineer 

£33,000 - £36,000 Plus Excellent Benefits

The Company

My client is a leading specialist manufacturer supplying components, services and systems. With almost 100 years’ experience they are part of a global business that supplies into multiple sectors both in the UK and internationally.

They have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Service Engineer for mechanical servicing, maintenance and / or repair of components in line with both company and customer requirements.

The Role

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, as a Mechanical Service Engineer you will have the responsibility for carrying out any maintenance, repair or mechanical overhaul from interpreting engineering drawings to shipping completed jobs back to the customer.

This may also include:

  • Component reconditioning
  • BoMs
  • Disassembly, assembly and inspection
  • Using measurement tools (Verniers / Callipers / Micrometers)
  • Machining, Milling and Turning
  • Accurate and timely completion of the scope of works
  • Compliance with critical safety standards
  • Technical reporting

The Candidate

The ideal experiencedMechanical Service Engineer will be a Mechanical or Service  Engineer with at least 5years experience.

You will be used to a Production environment with a range of skills that includes:

  • Operating Machine & Measurement tools 
  • Managing a varied workload
  • Good communication skills
  • The ability to work well within a small team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Decent PC skills
