In this role, you'll be working alongside the estimating team and proposals manager to help manage the preparation and submission of proposals for client projects, uncover potential business opportunities, and secure contracts that further the development of the business. The ideal candidate will come from a mechanical engineering background and will be looking to build upon their career in an estimating discipline. Experience with estimating is advantageous but not essential. The engineer will demonstrate good communication and negotiation skills with a can-do attitude and an appetite for self-development. - Preparing detailed cost breakdowns for tenders and submitting proposals for client projects
- Supporting proposals manager in providing information and documentation for bis and assisting in client negotiations
- Uncovering business opportunities and ensuring they align with sales budgets

The person
- Mechanical Engineering background
- Preferably qualified to at least HNC/HND level, although not essential
- Some experience in estimating, surveying or design work (advantageous but not essential)
- Strong communication/negotiation skills
- Strong work ethic with an appetite for self-development
