Client Details

We are representing a trusted manufacturer based in Leeds that are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team.

Description

  • Establish, document, and implement quality control and assurance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure products or services meet regulatory and customer requirements

  • Design and oversee tests and inspection processes to identify defects, verify compliance with specifications, and ensure product reliability and safety.

  • Analyse production workflows and processes to identify inefficiencies or risks. Implement solutions to enhance quality, reduce defects, and optimise performance.

  • Investigate product failures or process issues using tools like Fishbone Diagrams, 5 Whys, or FMEA to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality specifications. Perform audits and monitor supplier performance to mitigate risks in the supply chain.

  • Maintain detailed records of quality assurance activities, test results, and corrective actions. Generate reports to communicate findings, compliance status, and continuous improvement efforts to stakeholders.

Profile

  • Qualified Auditor
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Computer literate
  • Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001)
  • Working knowledge of PPAP/APQP tools and methods.
  • Experience with D.F.M.E.A. and P.F.M.E.A.
  • Working knowledge of LEAN principles
  • Understanding of Six Sigma D.M.A.I.C.
