The Architectural Technologist Role
As an Architectural Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality technical drawings and detailing packages, while ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations and maintaining an awareness of the Building Safety Act. Working collaboratively with a talented team, you'll coordinate with other consultants and contribute to the successful delivery of projects.
Architectural Technologist Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed technical drawings and packages using AutoCAD and Revit (BIM).
- Apply standard UK Building Regulations and maintain awareness of the Building Safety Act.
- Coordinate with consultants and liaise effectively to ensure project success.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of projects in sectors such as healthcare, care homes, and residential.
- Work autonomously or collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
- Ensure technical drawings and detailing meet the practice's high standards.
The Ideal Architectural Technologist Experience
- Degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent.
- Over 3 years of experience in an architectural practice, working on various projects.
- High proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (BIM).
- Broad experience in producing technical drawing and detailing packages.
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and familiarity with the Building Safety Act.
- Confident in coordinating and liaising with consultants.
- Flexible and positive approach, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
