Part 2 Architectural Assistant

Salary: £26-30,000 Dependant on experience

The practice is an award-winning, design-led consultancy that integrates planning, Masterplanning, and architecture to create innovative, sustainable solutions for clients. With a strong focus on designing better places and spaces, the company works across the UK on projects that range from large-scale masterplans to detailed architectural commissions, delivering schemes with environmental, social, and economic value.

As a Part 2 Architectural Assistant, you will collaborate with senior colleagues in a multi-disciplinary Planning, Masterplanning, and Architecture practice. You will contribute to the design, specification, and project management of building projects, supporting, or leading depending on the project size and complexity. You will assist multidisciplinary design teams from initial conception through to delivery, ensuring projects meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations while exemplifying the company's core values.

Skills, Experience & Responsibilities for the role of Part 2 Architectural Assistant:

  • Prepare architectural designs, plans, and drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
  • Develop project concepts, specifications, and visualisations, including presentations using Revit and Enscape.
  • Manage and coordinate tasks across RIBA Plan of Work Stages 1-7.
  • Research and integrate technical information, statutory requirements, and materials into designs.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings, site visits, and client engagements, building positive relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with planning policies and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts, including creating presentation materials, social media posts, and website updates.
  • Demonstrate strong design, narrative-building, and problem-solving skills to add value to projects.
  • Maintain a proactive, creative, and collaborative approach, with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
  • Use a range of software tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office, with experience in Enscape and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • Relevant Part 1 and 2 degrees in architecture, with at least your year out industry experience in a UK based practice
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car are required.
