Senior Architectural Technologist
Award-Winning RIBA Chartered Practice - North Leeds (LS17)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Senior Architectural Technologist to join an esteemed, award-winning RIBA Chartered architectural practice. Located in a beautiful semi-rural setting on the outskirts of North Leeds, this established medium-sized practice is renowned for its high-quality design work throughout the North of England, particularly in the areas of sensitive housing projects, luxury private residences, and bespoke high-end renovations and restorations.

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and versatile Senior Architectural Technologist with a passion for good design to join our dynamic and friendly team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a diverse range of high-end residential projects across Yorkshire and the North East of England. Many of our current projects are bespoke contemporary new builds, with some valued at several million pounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on a range of residential projects, working across all RIBA work stages from design development through to completion.

  • Take a hands-on approach to project delivery, ensuring projects are executed to the highest standards of design and technical excellence.

  • Work within a team on large-scale projects and independently on smaller contracts.

  • Prepare and present design proposals to clients, ensuring clear and effective communication at all stages of the project.

  • Provide strong technical expertise, including detailed knowledge of UK Building Regulations, job running skills, and site experience.

  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail in technical drawings and specifications.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience at a senior level within an architectural practice, with a focus on high-end residential design.

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (essential). Familiarity with SketchUp is desirable.

  • In-depth knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience in managing projects through all stages, with an emphasis on quality control and strict QA procedures.
