I am currently working with an award winning practice with over 40 years' experience designing for multiple sectors within the UK.

The company is seeking a talented Senior/Principle Architect to join its team in Leeds. This is an exceptional opportunity for ambitious, skilled individuals with strong leadership, design, technical, and communication abilities. You will gain experience across their award-winning studios, working on a variety of projects in different sectors and scales.

You should be confident in client interactions, a proactive team leader with a collaborative approach, and have a proven record of delivering high-quality designs. With a deep understanding of technical design standards and regulations, you will be proficient in Revit and excel in visual and verbal communication. You should be able to demonstrate an active network of clients or potential clients. Additionally, we are seeking someone who has successfully managed mid-to-large scale projects and inspired project teams to achieve their best. Experience with large-scale residential schemes or office buildings in the UK would be a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting project teams in delivering projects.
  • Managing multiple projects for various clients within set deadlines and budgets.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant UK planning, building, and health and safety regulations.
  • Overseeing the preparation of presentation drawings and developing them into concept designs.
  • Coordinating with consultants, negotiating with clients, and presenting cases to committees.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations, managing meetings effectively, and advising clients on appropriate services.
  • Assisting in bidding for and winning new business.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Professional qualification.
  • Structured approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Excellent drawing, presentation, and report writing skills.
  • Keen interest in the built environment and dedication to project completion.
  • Proven experience in a range of large scale projects.
  • Ability to manage budgets and control expenditure.
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Demonstrated evidence of people management skills and building strong relationships.
  • Good personal organization, planning skills, and understanding of quality management procedures and health & safety requirements.
