Salary: £9.23 per hour

Full Time; Permanent, 39 hours per week with flexibility due to travel

Profile

Curtis Furniture are pleased to be recruiting for a trainee fitter to join a well-established company and market leader in the manufacture of furniture for the Hospitality Industry. They manufacturer and fit out Hotels with bespoke furniture for clients such as Hilton, Sheraton, Holiday Inn & Crowne Plaza.

The trainee will be supported by an experienced fitter and work across various sites. The ideal candidate will have  driving license and be between the age of 18 and 20  

Job Purpose

To undertake on the job learning, working in a fast-paced company. You will be learning from the ground up to become a fully trained and competent member of the fitting team.   

Responsibilities but not limited to: -

  • Following instructions from your supervisor or manager, you will ensure the bedroom furniture is fitted correctly, safely and to a high standard with support and guidance until confident to complete on your own.
  • Movement of goods/general labouring tasks
  • Providing updates with progress work and snagging to your line manager and other teams.
  • Quality Checks
  • Health and safety requirements are adhered to at all times.

Personal Attributes:

  • Full clean driving licence
  • CSCS card is beneficial but not essential
  • Previous experience is beneficial but not essential as full training it will be provided
  • The ability to use power and hand tools
  • A flexible approach to work different shift patterns and out of town.
  • Good eye for detail.
  • Commitment to health, safety and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Can work as part of a team or independently.
  • Problem solving attitude.
