Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for Purchase Ledger? Look no further! JHE & Partners are pleased to be working exclusively with a growing and successful business based in Horsforth that is looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join them on a permanent basis. This is working in the payments team however there is also another position working in the vendor team.

The main purpose of the position is to perform appropriate checks and processing of new supplier accounts to strict deadlines. You must be resilient, hardworking and willing to always go the extra mile. 2 days working from home available after probation period.

This is a superb opportunity to work for a friendly and supportive Purchase Ledger Manager who wants the best for her employees. The ideal candidate will have ideally 2+ years of Purchase Ledger experience; however, graduates or individuals without any experience will also be considered if they demonstrate the ability to work hard. Responsibilities and requirements

  • Take responsibility for the timely and accurate processing of all payments being made from the business
  • Use and understand the Dynamics 365 and FMS systems to deliver payment files to the Treasury team for processing through the bank
  • Process foreign currency and GBP payments and ensure that they are in the correct format before being sent for approval
  • Ensure external suppliers are sent remittance advice in advance of their payment being received to avoid unnecessary queries
  • Work well within a team environment and take personal responsibility for tasks allocated daily
  • Support the Purchase Ledger team in other areas when needed, including invoice processing and expense audits
  • SOX control responsibilities may be a part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
