Our client, a prominent player in the life sciences and manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician for a contract-based role in Leeds. This is a temporary assignment where your microbiology expertise will be utilised in testing food samples.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting microbiological testing on food samples
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of laboratory results
  • Ensuring all laboratory equipment is properly calibrated and maintained
  • Adhering to strict quality control protocols and safety standards
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient workflow and accurate results
  • Preparing samples and reagents for testing
  • Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
  • Handling and disposing of hazardous materials in accordance with regulations
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in a laboratory setting with a focus on microbiology
  • Proficient in standard laboratory techniques and procedures
  • Familiarity with the latest laboratory equipment and technologies
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant life science discipline
Duration and Working Hours:
  • 2 Week Assignment
  • Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:30
