We are recruiting on behalf of a brilliant practice located in North Leeds. The Role:

As a Practice Bookkeeper, you will be an integral part of the team, handling a variety of bookkeeping tasks for a diverse portfolio of clients. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing Accounts: Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process.
  • VAT Returns: Preparing and submitting VAT returns accurately and on time.
  • Payroll Processing: Managing payroll processes, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Conducting regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.
  • Client Interaction: Liaising with clients to gather necessary information and address any queries they may have.
  • Software Proficiency: Utilizing accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Financial Reporting: Preparing financial reports and statements to assist in decision-making processes.
Key Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper within a practice environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and VAT regulations.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
