About Us:
Driver Hire Leeds West is a leading recruitment agency specialising in providing temporary and permanent driving solutions. We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Minibus Drivers to join our team and work for a major client who provides essential transport services for children and adults with special needs. This is a Monday to Friday role with 2 shifts per day, at 07:00 and 14:00, each approximately 3 hours although an 8 hour shift will be paid.
Job Description:
As a Minibus Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and comfortable transportation of individuals with special needs to and from schools and adult education centres. Your responsibilities will include:
- Driving minibuses on a daily basis, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers during transportation.
- Assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking the minibus.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the minibus.
- Working effectively as part of a team to provide excellent customer service.
Requirements:
- Essential:
- D1 qualification on driving license
- MIDAS qualification
- Excellent driving record - no more than 6 points for minor offences only
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late afternoons
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards individuals with special needs
- Physically fit to handle the demands of the role
- Preferred:
- Enhanced DBS certificate - We will apply for one on your behalf if required to.
