Job Title: Repro Operator - Night Shift (packaging & labels)
Location: Leeds (fully onsite)
Salary: Dependent On Experience
Hours:
o Monday - Friday
o 9PM-6AM - 36 hour week over 4 nights Monday to Thursday
About my Client:
Our client is the largest privately owned print and packaging company in the UK. The company prides itself on quality, efficiency, ethics and low environmental impact whilst being innovative and dynamic. The company has opportunities for a Repro Operator to join the team.
Purpose of a Repro Operator:
To check and approve artwork and repro files against approved designs to ensure:
- Artworks are technically correct to the supplied print specifications.
- The correct use of colours, cutters, layers on all jobs are in compliance with company working procedures and client expectations.
- All associated images are correct for size, colour profile, resolution and colour separation for the required print processes.
- Mark up any amendments and liaise with the artwork team/account managers
- Provide an administrative support to the Graphics & Technical departments.
- Print Process/Trappings to assist with Fit for Use/Booking in process
- Learning automated work processes & assisting future development
- Stepping and QC of files for output to Flexographic plate and Digital Press
- Working from print specs, preparation of files for both Flexo and Digital.
Requirements for a Repro Operator:
- Experience within a QC / Proofread role - specifically packaging artwork and repro
- QC of own and colleagues single unit and stepped files.
- Experience working within a print, packaging and labels manufacturer / agency.
- Experience of checking packaging artwork files for printability in a fast paced environment is essential.
- Knowledge of packaging artwork, repro and associated printing technologies.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe CS and Esko
- Full knowledge of print processes
