Head of BI - Up to £90,000 + BonusLeeds - Hybrid (2 days per week in office)

A growing BI team is hiring a Head of BI to lead data strategy, enhance reporting capabilities, and drive business intelligence across Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Commercial teams. This is a key leadership role with full ownership of BI development and governance.

THE COMPANY

This fast-growing business has scaled from 100,000 to over 2 million customers in just eight years. With data-driven decision-making at its core, they are investing in their BI function to establish a single source of truth for business performance and ensure high-quality reporting across all key departments.

THE ROLE

As Head of BI, you will manage a team of 9-10 BI Analysts, set BI strategy, and optimize reporting tools and data processes. You will work closely with senior leadership to ensure that business intelligence drives measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead BI strategy and define the roadmap for business intelligence and reporting.
• Manage and mentor a BI team, ensuring best practices in analytics and data management.
• Engage with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, finance directors, and operational leaders.
• Improve data governance and optimize BI tooling (currently using Tableau but open to Power BI).
• Enhance the data warehouse to ensure a single source of truth for performance tracking.
• Drive automation and efficiency in reporting to improve decision-making across departments.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate is a proven BI leader with experience in strategy, stakeholder management, and technical execution.

Essential:

• Experience as Head of BI or in a similar senior leadership role within Business Intelligence.
• Strong team leadership skills, with a track record of managing and developing BI professionals.
• Expertise in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI preferred) and data governance best practices.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, influencing executive leadership and business strategy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, balancing strategic direction with hands-on involvement.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in Web Analytics or Marketing Analytics.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and cloud BI platforms.
• Experience in the healthcare sector is a plus but not essential.
