Broomfield SILC, a generic special school catering to a diverse range of needs, is seeking a dedicated Facilities Manager. Following a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating in March 2023, we are looking to enhance our team with a professional who will ensure our environment remains suitable for our pupils and stakeholders. The Facilities Manager will work closely with the Business Manager and Senior Leadership Team, focusing on site management and health & safety.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Maintain the school site to a high standard, managing all works across the site year-round.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all stakeholders regarding premises and health & safety issues.
  • Manage and prioritise workload independently, including site repairs and maintenance.
  • Ensure all statutory Health & Safety guidance is adhered to across the site.
  • Create and maintain a professional environment that is welcoming and safe for visitors, families, and learners.
  • Work confidently on a range of systems and keep accurate data records.
  • Prioritise work to meet conflicting deadlines and contribute to school life.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in site management and conducting repairs.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety policies and statutory duties.
  • A good standard of education and relevant qualifications.
  • Ability to work within a busy, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills and professional pride.

  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written.
