Job Type: Full-time 7am-4pm, Monday to Friday

Reed Leeds Business Support are recruiting on behalf of an established wholesalers based in Leeds. Our client is seeking a Class 2 deliver driver to join their team on a permanent basis.

This role is crucial in maintaining their reputation by ensuring safe, timely, and friendly delivery of products to our customers.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Conduct operator maintenance and prepare the vehicle for deliveries
  • Ensure all products are loaded correctly and safely onto the vehicle
  • Complete delivery notes, return sheets, and collect payments
  • Handle special delivery requests as per customer instructions
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer premises security and operational information
  • Check run sheets, picked orders, and plan efficient delivery routes
  • Inform customers of any stock shortages or delivery issues
  • Return all empty cases and gas bottles, ensuring they are stored correctly
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures and complete all required checks
  • Provide assistance in the warehouse when necessary
  • Represent the company by wearing the uniform and maintaining a presentable appearance
  • Engage in physical and manual handling as part of the role

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good safety practices and driving habits
  • Possession of the correct driving license for the designated vehicle
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
