Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through timely deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and report any issues or discrepancies.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks consistently throughout the day.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members effectively.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service excellence.
