Driver Hire Leeds West are currently looking to recruit several HGV Class 1 to join our expanding team of drivers working for our renowned healthcare client based in Leeds LS11.

They are the UK’s leading wholesaler of healthcare productions working alongside 17,000 pharmacies, doctors, hospitals and health centres from their 12 service centres across the UK.
We are looking for drivers with experience who would be happy to work on a full-time basis, with the potential for some work on a Saturday. However, reliability is paramount. We often find ourselves having to cover shifts at the last minute, so a degree of flexibility is asked of all our drivers for us to be able to cover all our available shifts. Therefore, you must be able to communicate clearly with our consultants regarding your availability for work. It’s imperative we know who is available and when in case a last-minute shift becomes available.
Whilst many of our pay rates are determined by our clients; we will always argue for the best pay rates for our drivers. Our Payrates start at £16.81ph for Class 1 work, however, more can be earned with weekends rates exceeding £19.61. These rates include Holiday Pay upfront. We operate our own payroll too, so you won’t be shortchanged by those pesky Umbrella Companies.
Basic Requirements of the Role
- 1 Year HGV Class 1 Driving Experience
- Fully up to date licences
- No more than three live points on your licence - Driving Licence checks are carrier out on regular basis.
- A Full CPC Card
- Safety Boots and Hi-Vis
- The ability to work alone, and comfortable in manual handling and handballing.
- Flexibility / Communication and Honesty
- Excellent customer service skills
- Team players
- Route planning experience is preferred.
- Previous experience of multi-drop is desirable.
