Overview
Russell Taylor are seeking additional van drivers to work for a client based in Leeds. This will involve roughly 10 collections per shift of various products from various businesses which will then be re distributed.
The pay is 12.50 per hour working 5 days per week with overtime paid after 40 hours.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a van for the delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of materials and adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Van Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) as required during loading and unloading processes.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing delivery schedules.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
