LB349 - Van Driver

Salary: £12 p/h

Location: Garforth 

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Driver on behalf of one of our clients.

You will be responsible for the accurate, timely and efficient delivery of all orders to the customer base. You agree to meet the standards set out by the Operations Management Team such as well presented, maintaining a clean and tidy van and warehouse workspace. You are fully responsible and accountable for the delivering of our orders and collection of an accurate proof of delivery.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Improving and maintaining gold standards.
  • Adhering to agreed times.
  • Wearing the correct uniform.
  • Housekeeping of vans, van cleaning area, van parking areas & loading bays.
  • Obtaining accurate proof of delivery is essential.
  • FORS compliance & maintenance.
  • Completing vehicle checks and reporting any problems.
  • Accurate records of vehicle usage.
  • Present and attentive at daily and weekly briefings.
  • Conducting audits and rectifying the results.
  • Assisting with goods out, stock control and goods in duties.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar driving role.
  • Experience within a warehouse & logistics environment.

Punctuality and Reliability.

  • UK driving licence.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to cope well under pressure.
  • Ability to proactively manage a varied and demanding workload to meet deadlines.
