NextGen Teachers are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a Primary school in Leeds (LS11) who are looking for a KS1 Primary Teacher for a mixed 1/2 class to cover a maternity from February 2025 - December 2025. There could also be the possibility of a contract after this period.

This is a two form entry Primary school based in the LS11 area of Leeds who pride themselves on being a family and community orientated school. This school is very diverse and currently over 20 languages are spoken across school.

This school are looking for an experienced and welcoming Primary Teacher for a Mixed Year 1 / Year 2 class who is able to cover a maternity contract starting from February 2025.

KS1 Primary Teacher Non-Negotiables:

  • Must have recent and relevant teaching experience in Education.
  • Must hold a PGCE and/or equivalent Teaching Qualification valid for teaching in the UK with QTS.
  • Strong subject knowledge of the UK Primary National Curriculum, particularly in KS1.
  • Must have a good understanding of Phonics - Read Write Inc.
  • Must have a valid DBS or be prepared to apply for a new and updated one.
  • Full-time availability and able to provide 2 professional references.
  • Must have completed both ECT years.
