Landlord & Tenant Case Handler

TSR Legal is seeking an experienced and commercially aware case handler to join a well-established Landlord and Tenant team within the Dispute Resolution Group. This role is ideal for a case handler experienced in managing complex landlord and tenant disputes, with flexibility for remote working and occasional meetings in Leeds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a personal caseload of 25-40 landlord and tenant disputes, including both commercial and residential matters.
  • Act for a wide range of clients, including individuals, businesses, and financial institutions, across privately paying and LEI-funded cases.
  • Deliver high-quality legal advice and maintain excellent client service.
  • Ensure strict compliance with deadlines and service standards.

About You

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Strong technical knowledge of landlord and tenant law.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in landlord and tenant disputes, leaseholder issues, commercial property, or banking litigation.
  • Ability to independently manage a varied caseload.
  • Practical problem-solving skills with a commercial focus.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of enforcement and debt recovery.
  • Exposure to business development and client training initiatives.
  • Experience with a variety of funding arrangements and a mix of acting for claimants and defendants.

Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified Solicitor, Barrister, FCILEx, or equivalent professional experience.
