Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our education client dining services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for events, ensuring a diverse and nutritious menu that caters to various dietary needs and preferences. The Chef will also oversee kitchen operations, maintain food safety standards, and contribute to a positive dining experience on campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including kitchen assistants, and dishwashers.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and taste.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies
  • Collaborate with the Food Services Manager to plan special events and themed meals.
  • Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate new recipes and techniques.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address any feedback or concerns from diners.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a high-volume or institutional setting.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to create diverse and nutritious menus.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
