Acorn by SYNERGIE are searching for an ambitious Area Sales Manager to join our client, a market leader within the construction industry to cover a sales territory of the North East and North West England.

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the purpose of the role is to oversee the trading relationships of the company with its most important customers and will be responsible for establishing and maintaining long term relationships by understanding the needs of the customer to promote the company's products and service.

Duties will include:

* Managing business activity with multi-level contacts within designated accounts including regular review of customer performance against targeted sales volumes.

* Ensure sales plan targets are met, monitoring performance and increasing the share spend for the designated key accounts.

* Provide reports on key account plan progress for the National Sales Manager/Sales Director.

* Using the CRM system, track and follow up on leads generated.

* Facilitate and deliver customer training on product, pricing and process.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of builders merchants and the developer sector. Must have previous, proven experience of managing an external sales territory. Must have customer pricing and rebates knowledge along with excellent negotiation skills.

Must be located within the sales territory of North East and North West England.
