We have a unique opportunity with one of our leading clients who specialise within the marine, textile and food industry. Due to natural growth and continued success, they have created a new role to drive product development and market presence/success. The Marketing Product Manager will report directly into the Marketing Manager, this role is integral to the marketing team and wider organisation.

You will play a pivotal role in driving the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of all Food Grade (FG) products. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Technical, R&D, and Operations, to build a product portfolio that meets customer needs.

You must come from a product-based background, ideally from manufacturing, chemicals or agriculture. If you have a generalist marketing background and product ownership and development this could be a fantastic career move.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Food Grade product strategy aligned with business goals, market trends, and customer needs.
  • Manage commercial, technical, and regulatory aspects of the Food Grade product range.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
  • Drive new product introduction by developing ideas into proposals and tracking their progress.
  • Manage the entire Food Grade product lifecycle, including planning, launch, optimization, and discontinuation decisions.
  • Manage Food Grade product data sheets and ensure data accuracy and timely updates.
  • Drive product pricing, placement, and promotions in conjunction with the Marketing Manager.
  • Ensure product quality and reliability in collaboration with the Technical Service Team.
  • Gather customer feedback to continuously improve product offerings and enhance customer experience.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

  • Demonstrable product management experience, including new product introduction (NPD) process management.
  • Experience managing B2B technical products.
  • Strong communication, negotiation skills, and commercial acumen.
  • Ability to analyse and manipulate data to identify trends and produce reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (spreadsheets, presentations, reports).
  • Experience from a transferable industry such as Chemicals, manufacturing or agriculture.
