Description

Main Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for your customer, managing both immediate and long-term relationships
  • Develop and execute daily business plans, leveraging diverse solutions to maximise profits and minimise costs
  • Identify, manage, and deliver profitable solutions to commercial, operational, and seasonal challenges
  • Implement the internal annual operating plan, driving sales, profitability, and operational targets in collaboration with the customer. Develop recommendations to contribute to the trading and category vision
  • Support the delivery of high-level plans, contractual commitments, joint business plans (JBP), and overall business objectives
  • Influence cross-functional teams and represent customer needs internally
  • Lead weekly alignment meetings, post-implementation reviews, and update meetings with the support of the wider team
  • Assist in the development and mentoring of team members
  • Take responsibility for your own continuous personal development

Profile

  • Previous experience of Account Management, skilled across new business and business development
  • Previous experience of successfully working with UK convenience retailers and have a proven successful track record of deliverables
  • You're a skilled, natural negotiator and story teller, leading customers and stakeholders through the journey with you
  • An ability to work accurately with numbers and data, evident in their interpretation and use when influencing your customer and stakeholders
  • Excellent working knowledge of the grocery retail market, alongside macro and micro influences impacting it
  • You're adept at relationship management and have great communication skills, which you are able to flex with your varied customer/stakeholders as necessary
  • A high level of commercial acumen, skilled with numbers and excellent attention to detail
  • Be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and making educated, speedy decisions with incomplete information

You are comfortable and confident working with Excel, PowerPoint and other relevant software and systems
