We are looking for an energetic, motivated and confident travel team leader who would be interested in a permanent position in a busy and friendly team selling all aspects of travel at an established and expanding travel agency/call centre in Leeds. This is a truly fabulous opportunity working for an excellent, expanding travel company, for either a suitably experienced Travel Manager or a passionate and driven Team Leader/Assistant Manager looking to step up to the next level in their career.

This is a full-time position with working hours from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend or Saturday shifts and the flexibility to work from home when needed.

Salary up to £30,000 dependent on experience.

Job Description

As the Retail Sales Manager, you will:

Lead and Manage: Oversee a small call centre team, ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded across multiple channels, including sales calls, web enquiries, social media platforms and group bookings. Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional sales, mentoring, coaching and people management skills.

Retail Administration: Manage administrative staff responsible for invoicing, ticketing, and customer correspondence.

Generate New Business: Develop sales activities targeting the local community through leaflets, adverts, brochures, and by attending events and fairs.

Customer Retention: Work closely with the Marketing Manager to build a loyal customer base through innovative retention strategies and initiatives.

Drive Business Growth: Contribute fresh ideas to help drive the business forward, ensuring we maintain a competitive edge in the market. The generation and implementation of new ideas is a must to drive the business forward.

Sales Excellence: Provide an exceptional, personalised service by utilising excellent product knowledge and effectively matching customer needs and requirements. Deliver sales targets by maximising profit and potential sales opportunities at all times whilst offering an exceptional and personalised service.

Report and Communicate: Work autonomously, providing regular feedback to the General Manager, including weekly reporting and ongoing communication.

Experience Required

Sales experience gained within a similar travel sales role.

The ability to work to and focus on sales targets and lead a team to achieve

Strong attention to detail and to be able to work in a busy environment, working under pressure.

PC literate and ability to use reservations and website booking systems to download and process bookings.

The Package

This is a full-time position with working hours from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend or Saturday shifts and the flexibility to work from home when needed.

Salary up to £30,000 dependent on experience.

23 days A/L + bank holidays.
